Alpine Roots
Fortemasso is a boutique winery located in the Castelletto area of Monforte d’Alba in Italy’s famous Langhe wine region. “Forte” alludes to the strength of the soil and “Masso” to the solid rocks at the highest point of the vineyards. Fortemasso philosophy emphasizes vineyard management and a minimal intervention winemaking to preserve the natural character of the grapes. The winery operates from a modern, eco-sustainable subterranean cellar built for aging wines. Today, Fortemasso is recognized for producing elegant wines that reflect the unique soils, climate, and terroir of the Langhe region.
