A Journey Through Tuscany's Heart: Fèlsina · I Fabbri · Le Potazzine
Fèlsina, I Fabbri, and Le Potazzine are three family-run estates that together reveal the remarkable range of Tuscan winemaking. In the southern reaches of Chianti Classico, Fèlsina has long set the benchmark for Sangiovese that balances power with elegance — from the single-vineyard Rancia Riserva to the celebrated Fontalloro — while also venturing into méthode traditionnelle sparkling wines. To the north, I Fabbri farms organically in the high-altitude village of Lamole, where cooler temperatures and ancient soils yield Sangiovese of striking freshness, fine texture, and uncommon clarity of place. And in Montalcino, Le Potazzine crafts Brunello with quiet confidence — estate-grown, minimally interventionist, and built in the classic tradition for the long haul.
