Volcanic Roots

I Favati Winery is a small family-run estate in the Irpinia region of Campania, known for its dedication to indigenous grape varieties such as Fiano, Greco, and Aglianico. The winery combines modern techniques with traditional practices to craft wines that reflect the volcanic soils and mountainous terroir of the area. Their wines are celebrated for their balance, structure, and expression of southern Italy’s distinctive character. In addition to making wine, they also own and operate a small, cozy hotel up the hill from the winery, Villa Carolina I Favati.
