Ancient Vines, Adriatic Winds

The Ciavolich family’s roots in the Chieti area of modern-day Abruzzo stretch back to the 1500s, when they fled the Saracen invasions in Bulgaria and settled in this fertile landscape. Over generations, they established themselves as skilled farmers and careful stewards of the land, building a deep connection to the region. Today, Ciavolich ranks among Abruzzo’s leading producers, focusing on native varieties such as Trebbiano Abruzzese, Pecorino, and Montepulciano. Their wines reflect the region’s unique balance, shaped by the cool influence of the Apennine peaks and the salty breeze of the Adriatic.
